Today I decided to bust out the good 'ole 85mm.  I haven't been using this lens as much because honestly sometimes I just don't get tack sharp images like I do with my workhorse lens, my 35mm.  But on the other hand, I LOVE the bokeh this lens creates.  So I'm torn when it comes to my 85.  Tonight I thought, lets pull it out and take my sharpness frustrations out on it.  :)

We went out to dinner with my parents tonight.  These pics were captured while trying to keep the kids occupied until dinner was ready...checkers and a bit of ipod playing.  Pretty sure I got a few looks from people wondering why I'm taking random pictures of my kids at a restaurant.  Oh well, that's what this is about, right?!

I love these pictures! I love pix that are heavy in the bokeh department! That's one of the things I'll work on more this year along with wanting to learn more about which pictures will look good in black and white. Love your work!

I used to be afraid to shoot in public because I didn't like the stares from some people. Now, I could care less and if climbing around on the ground in public lets me get a good photo, then so be it!
